New York ... New York "There is no place like New York" My first time in NYC was in 2010. I didn't do any research before I came here. It felt like it was such a big city but not too big in some ways. It was weird that even I am not from here I immediately felt comfortable in this city. Throughout the city you can find all nationalities and anywhere you are you will hear just about any language being spoken. New York City is special because it is a melting pot with people from everywhere. You can find restaurants with cuisines from every corner of the world on the streets of New York - Italian, French, Spanish, Turkish, Greece, Lebanese, Japanese, Thai, Chinese, anything you can think of. This is one thing where no place can compare to New York.

It seems like nobody gives a damn about who you are or where you are from. From the first time I visited New York I said to myself this is the right place for me and it still is – I have made this amazing city my home.

This city can be tough - really tough. This is the city that coined the phrase ‘work hard and play hard’ people here work hard no matter what they do and you can find a good crowd at the local bar any night of the week. While New Yorkers tend to get a bad reputation I have to say I like New Yorkers.

My first view of New York City was from the train. I have traveled the world and even though I had seen New York on TV or in a magazine, the first time I saw New York from the train in the distance at night time I was blown away because it was more amazing than I had imagined. On every corner and down every street you go there is are always something special. New York is about people, culture, food, arts, architecture and fashion. What makes New York different is because we are international, inter-racial and all together in this awesome city.

I also love New York for its fashion sense, but it's not what you think. Here in New York City each area has its own character whether it be the younger, loud upper eastside, the glamour of Soho or the grunginess of Lower Eastside. I go downtown a lot because most of my favorite restaurants, bars and stores are down there but you can find just about anything you want almost anywhere in the city – it really depends on what you are looking for, what vibe is right for you. New York City has it all from the luxurious urban lifestyle of the millionaires and billionaires to the down to earth sense of the hard working people who work in the back of the kitchens that feed us all days. It's pretty much anywhere all around NYC.

I love the lifestyle in NYC but you get spoiled very easily having everything at your fingertips - it's true. Most of people here are pretty spoiled which is why we all believe that New York is the best – we always compare wherever we go to what we can find and have back home. It’s easy to get spoiled when you can have a day that consists of enjoying a double espresso in the morning at a classic local coffee shop then go out walking around the city, stopping by at your favorite restaurant for a glass of wine and pan seared salmon and salad for lunch, then heading off for little shopping and finishing the day off with some oysters and a glass of champagne at a rooftop lounge while enjoying the skyline of NYC at night – and all this within walking distance of your apartment! It's like you are on top of the world with everything this city has to offer.

The unique things about New York City are the culture, the food and the arts which you can easily experience all around the City in the bars and restaurants, and on the streets everywhere you go. There are so many great museums in New York such as the Museum of Modern Art, the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Museum of Natural History. There are a lot of artists in this city and New York's art has its own unique style. On the streets you can always find the creativity of New York art that is like nowhere else I have seen. There is always something interesting to see on every street that is what makes New York my favorite city in the world and most importantly my home.

There are so many things about New York that I would love to share with you but there are too many to put in one page on my site. For all of the information you desire about New York please see our YouTube videos for NYC restaurant reviews, tours of NYC and so much more.
