Boston is a charming city. It is a mix between modern and classic American history. Boston is one of the most historic cities in the U.S. There is so much to enjoy in Boston from the classic site of American history, great seafood and Italian food, sports and so much more.  I typically stay at either the fairmont Copley or the Taj. On a recen trip I chose to stay at the Taj hotel.  The Taj is right in the heart of Boston on the Commons and makes it very easy to get around. I love the food at Taj hotel's restaurant. I must say I was very impressed for once with with my room service breakfast. It was the best breakfast I had ever had from any hotel. I had an amazing crab cake eggs benedict with grilled vegetable. Ever since that breakfast I have made sure to stop at the Taj for breakfast at least once on each Boston trip.  It is not to be missed.

Boston is a realtively small city compared to New York, Chiacgo, LA, etc. and it is very easy to get around. I typically come to Boston for the food. I love the authentic, high-end Italian food at Mama Maria. This restaurant is one of the best Italian restaurants in town. I had such a great fine dining experience at Mama Maria and highly recommend it.  Even more than the food here they have a really great wine selection.  The food at Mama Maria is phenomenal and I love the vibe of the restaurant. It is very quiet and romantic and located in an old townhouse and maintains the very homey feel. Mama Maria is located in the North End but hidden away from the touristy locations which gives it a great authentic vibe.

Boston is also big on seafood like fresh local oysters. I was excited to go to Neptune Oyster bar as I always wanted to give it a try. This was one of my goals for this Boston trip. Neptune has one of the largest oyster selections I have come across. Everything was so fresh and of such a high quality. The raw bar here is second to none. I love sitting at the bar where I can enjoy watching the staff shucking my oysters to kick off my meal.

As I love smoking a cigar for relaxation I had to stop by Stanza Dei Sigari. It is one of the oldest cigar bars in the U.S.A. I am a big fan of old bars and great destinations with history because of my love of history and authentic culture that makes things so special and unique. This trip to Boston was unique as I got to try many places that had been on my list for quite some time. I love the hospitality in Boston and the vibe is very laid back compared to most other major U.S. cities. The history and food culture are definitely a unique thing about Boston and will keep me coming back for a long time to come.
