Bergamo is one of a very interesting town nestling in the foothills of the Alps.  Bergamo is one of the uniquenest town in Italy because of its wealth of artistic treasuresand enchanting medieval atmosphere. The old towns of two cities between Città Bassa, the busy and modern lower city, and Città Alta, the upper city with its rich heritage of art and historyThe Piazza Vecchia. The architectures are mixed from Medieval and Renaissance. The Piazza Vecchia is the icon heart of the city. It was a very charming town without a lot of peope, therefore there were many boutique shopes where I could check out for high quality local stuff. Also the food around here was pretty food as well especially if you visit Bergamo in the summer you may love to walk around and snack on pizza, gelato or delicious pastry.

I felt in love for this mysterious town even though there are many acient towns like this all around city but Bergano has its own characteristic and the beauty of life style here. Somewhat it is a peaceful place and rich in life style. There are everything to offers from Luxury boutique hotel, great restaurants, natural beauty, boutique stores etc. This makes Bergamo one of the grestest place to visit. What made me love about Bergamo the most was the Old Town that located on the hill and it was surrounded by natural beauty. It was such a relxing trip while I could walk around town and enjoy the historical site.

To visit Bergamo is better by car, sometimes it is more adventurous and more independent by car trip to visit small historicle towns near by, however if you do not drive. Its only about 50 minutes by train from Milan. When I travel to small town like this. I sometimes prefer car because I can be more spontaneous and  spend more time instead of worry about scheduel for the train ride back to my hotel, good thing about driving is that I sometime bumb into some interesting place and always can stope my car to look around. In this part of Italy where Bergamo located in the Northest of Milana. Bergamo is also the second most visited city in Lombardy after Milan so if you happen to visit Milan. It would be wonderful to take a chance to visit Bergamo. The Medieval acient town on the foothill of the Alpes, but if you have more time. There is a beautyful town where is known for many beauty boutiques hotel and beatyful lakes like Salò. It is a great place to escape for a nice relaxing weekend.

Lambordy, Bergamo is structured in two levels, the lower city is more modern and dynamic, whilst the famous ‘upper city’ boasts a stunning historic centre full of monuments and works of art. In the area around the city the Iseo Lake is well worth a visit, as is the sanctuary at Caravaggio and Crespi d’Adda whic is the most important company town in Italy, listed as a world heritage site by UNESCO. I definitely love Bergamo and it was a hidden gem within short distance from Milan

Best Season:

The best time to visit Bergamo are from late May and late September because - May has the advantage of flowers and longer days. September is often drier and sunnier. Italy is always a bit crowded during nice weather but May and September/early October are not nearly as crowded as the summer.
