Las Vegas is the true city that never sleeps.  It is a completely unrealistic and unsustainable lifestyle for most but it's a thrill to have some fun here just don't stay for too long or you might not get out!  Las Vegas can be all about partying, shopping and having. It is just a crazy place but it's fun just to leave all of your worries behind and have some fun. There are so many big hotels along the strip and throughout Las Vegase. On my last trip I choose to stay at the Cosmopolitan. I absolutely love the location of this hotel. The rooms are large and many have a huge balcony where you can watch the fountain at the Bellagio and overlook the Las Vegas skyline. This was absolutely the best view from any hotel I have stayed at here. I also love the jacuzzi in the bathroom here with the view overlooking Las Vegas. It was really a cool hotel and room and I felt like a celebrity from the moment I arrived.

There are so many activities to do in Las Vegas - it can be so much more than just eating, drinking and partying. The casinos can be a lot of fun and just about everyone who visits Las Vegas will spend some time at one of the many enormous casinos in town.  They are everywhere and in every hotel. They are open all day and night and they serve free drinks - be careful.  While I was gambling I drank for free and had a great time, so great in fact I lost track of time and while it felt like night time it could be 9.00 am in the morning. It was fun but try not to spend it all at the casino - leave some money for the shopping as there are many high end boutiques in every hotel and casino here. I could not help it but to shop for some new bags, shoes and clothes.

I love the quality of many of the restaurants here in Las Vegas. My first time to LV I remember I was pretty surprised by how good the food was. There is a lot of competition between the restaurants and the casinos here so there is not a lot of room for low quality food. In Las Vegas you will find a lot of famous chef's restaurants, but last time I came to experience one restaurant that I had been wanting to try for a long time. It's not as high end as some of the hotel or casino restarant but it was named as one of the best Thai restaurants in the U.S., Lotus of Siam. This is one of the best Thai restaurants I have tried in the U.S. The menu is expansive and the food is very authentic and of a very high quality. I wanted to try everything and everythingi ordered came out perfect. The flavor was very authentic and left happy and satisfied. The chef at Lotus of Siam was very kind and she took the time to stop by my table and talk - great service!

Another thing about Las Vegas if you love shooting are the shooting ranges here.  The laws in Nevada are a bit loose when it comes to firearms so you can try just about any firearm you can imagine. I made sure to stop by one of the top ranges in town for some private instruction and range time before heading out for some shopping at the Bellagio. It was hard to say no to those bags - this is Las Vegas after all! I come here to have fun and treat myself like a superstar so I bought a few bags went to spend some more time at the casino.  A trip to Las Vegas has it all - something for everyone.

Las Vegas

Nevada

Best Season:

Peak Season: March - May and September - November

Off Season: December - February

Las Vegas is a land of warmth and sunshine but the winters and summers can be extreme. While winter highs hit the 50s and 60s, the lows can dip to freezing. Coats and sweaters are necessary and layering is a must. Summers are simply deadly. Starting in mid-May, temperatures begin to top 100 degrees or more before returning to the 90s in September.

Keep in mind that it tends to rain during January and July, and when it rains, it usually storms.
