I was traveling to San Francisco for a two nights and three days. It seems like a short period of time but I discovered so many great and unique things about San Francisco on this abbreviated visit. The city of hilly streets, natural beauty, great food and unique architecture. I love getting around the city by walking but I discovered another entertaining way to explore the city, renting a GoCar for the day. Sightseeing by GoCar was very flexible and it allowed me to explore the city independently. Why do I think the GoCar is one of the best sightseeing vehicle options? The Gocar is the first-ever GPS-guided storytelling car. The clever talking car navigates for you and points out the sights that bring San Francisco to life. Time Magazine nominated GoCar "as one of the coolest inventions of the year". This briliant sightseeing vehicle with its GPS gave me all the information I wished to know about the sights of San Francisco. The big city became the little world in my hand and I really enjoyed the ride under the warm weather with the gorgeous views and the architecture of San Francisco. I loved being able to hop on and off wherever I wanted to.  The GoCar was very flexible and allowed me to travel independently which is exactly what I look for when I travel. The two hours of my ride along the coastal roads and throughout the climbing streets of San Francisco with it GPS helped me figure out where to eat, what attractions to see, the history of the area, the best view points and so on. It was so convenient and a lot of fun.

The couple of hours I spent in my Gocar brought me past many amazing view points and sights. I really loved the view of the Golden Gate Bridge from the perfect perspective with the fog hoverng over the bridge gave me a unique view of the bridge that was so different from what I was used to seeing on postcards. I loved riding up and down the hilly roads and the views of the architecture that is unique to San Francisco, the colors of the houses and the intricate facades running up and down so many streets, particuarly in Nob Hill.  I also spent sometime walking up and down the street... tiring but enjoyable! The views looking out over such beautiful areas like Nob Hill, the view of the sail boats in the bay or the view of Alcatraz. This city has so many interesting things to learn around each corner. Another unique thing about San Francisco is the variety of cultures and history that are everwhere to enjoy.

More then just beautiful sightseeing, history and architecture, the restaurant scene in San Francisco is worldclass.  I  picked out a restaurant for lunch after a couple hours riding in my GoCar. I was pretty hungry so my goal was to find somewhere where I could order many dishes and get a greta sampling of local San Francisco seafood.  I decided to try out one of the well known restaurants in the harbour area, Pier 23. Given its popularity I waited quite a while for a prime outdoor counter seat right by the harbor. It was sunny and breezy a beautiful day for outdoor dining. I started with a cocktail to kick off my meal.  I ordered a selection of the best ites on the menu since I wanted to try as many dishes as possible. I ordered clam chowder, poke poke tuna, fish tacos, the crab cakes, mussels, baked clams and one of my favorite dishes here, dungeness crab that served with a delcious sauce and fresh sour dough bread.  Everything was delicious. I was so happy with my first meal in San Francisco! It was a great way to start my trip, a great meal on the bay under the sunshine. I felt pretty satisfied with the start of my trip right after a wonderful meal. There are so many more things I would love to visit here in San Francisco i have a long list for my next visit here.  Next time I plan on enjoying more activities that I did not have enough time for on this trip becasue I had something very special planned for the remainder of my time here. San Francisco - The Paris Of The West

Best Season:

June-August This marks the peak of tourism in the Bay Area, with people from all over the country drawn by the hope for nice weather and the promise of summertime festivities.

Average summer temperatures in San Francisco hover in the high 60s and are often accompanied by brisk sea winds and chilly, damp fog. However, the city does come alive with numerous street fairs and special events

September-November are Autumn marks a sweet spot for San Francisco tourism. Hotel rates drop, and believe it or not, the city has a reputation of warmer temperatures during this time of year than throughout the summer. Average fall temperatures rest in the low 70s, and consistently sunny skies inspire San Franciscans and tourists alike to head to the beach. But don't underestimate those bayside breezes.
